SZn in the sun
Festival-bred desert-fed looping madness
SZN In The Sun is a reggae-fusion trio from Phoenix, Arizona, blending reggae, funk, soul, hip hop, and a touch of EDM into a sun-soaked, feel-good sound that hits like summer all year. The band unites California-raised guitarist Christopher “Monty” Montgomery, New York native loop artist Danny “Flip Man Dan” McManus, and Arizona's own Keynan Nutter Tut, an incredible hip hop artist who has been a leader in the Phoenix scene for over a decade.
Monty and Dan first bonded at festivals back in 2012, logging more than ten Coachellas together before becoming roommates in Tempe and sharpening their live looping and songwriting chemistry. SZN In The Sun evolved into a full-fledged trio when Nutter joined, known for intricate loops, infectious grooves, and crowd-moving live shows.
Their debut album, Melt Into The Masses, is a 16-track journey through seizing life to the fullest, growing-up nostalgia, love, loss, and the comedy and chaos of partying and dating, with songs built for late nights, loud speakers, and bad decisions with good friends.
